Jakarta, November 17th 2025 – Since its inception in 2014, the LIGHTweight Challenge has guided hundreds of finalists through transformative journeys marked by physical changes, mindset shifts, and renewed confidence. This year, LIGHThouse Clinic proudly welcomes 22 new finalists to the LIGHTweight Challenge 2025—each ready to embark on what may be the most significant lifestyle change of their lives.

The finalists were selected after undergoing a comprehensive series of initial assessments designed to measure each individual’s motivation, determination, and readiness for change.

On Saturday, 15 November, the 22 participants attended an intensive onboarding workshop that introduced the program’s core concepts, competition mechanisms, and detailed guidelines. The session aims to ensure every finalist is fully equipped to achieve the best possible results throughout the 12-week challenge, supported closely by LIGHThouse Clinic’s multidisciplinary team of doctors, nutritionists, and psychologists.

During the briefing, finalists engaged enthusiastically with short seminars led by a clinical nutritionist and psychologist, covering essential nutrition principles, the LW (LIGHTweight) program methodology, and strategies for reshaping one’s relationship with food. Some participants also shared their personal reasons for joining LWC 2025.

“My family struggles with obesity, and for a long time I believed losing weight was impossible for me because of genetics. I’ve tried trendy diets before and ended up in the hospital. Now I want to take this journey under proper medical, nutritional, and psychological supervision. I really hope I can succeed this time,” said Juni, a 41-year-old female finalist weighing 71kg.

“I wasn’t obese when I was a student, mostly because my food budget was extremely limited. But once I started working, I experimented with food a bit too excessively after years of restriction. I was hospitalized last year due to poor eating habits. Now I’m ready to follow a professionally guided program, and I’m grateful LWC 2025 offers exactly that. Wish me luck,” added fellow finalist Muslimin, 29, weighing 75kg.

Past finalists have demonstrated that while weight loss is challenging, it is far from impossible—especially when undertaken collectively. One notable success story is Febrina Elissa, who lost 24.5kg during the 2016 LIGHTweight Challenge and has maintained her weight to this day.

This year’s finalists will follow LIGHThouse Clinic’s signature LW (LIGHTweight) program, a 12-week structured diet plan supported by doctors, nutritionists, and psychologists. The program has been clinically proven to be 3.5 times more effective in achieving sustainable weight loss by helping participants establish healthier long-term habits through comprehensive, personalized care.

“The finalists will undergo a 12-week LW (LIGHTweight) program focused on calorie deficit and high-protein nutrition, tailored to each patient’s unique needs and characteristics. Weekly consultations with our nutritionists ensure close monitoring and consistent progress. The program has proven effective across all obesity categories, empowering participants to build sustainable nutritional habits and adopt healthier lifestyles,” explained Veronica S.Gz, Nutritionist and Head of Program at LIGHT Group.

In line with LIGHThouse Clinic’s campaign #NgurusiKamuUrusanKami, the LIGHTweight Challenge reflects the clinic’s signature patient experience—deeply supportive, highly personalized, and rooted in behavioral change. For 21 years, LIGHThouse has distinguished itself as the only clinic in Indonesia integrating psychological support into weight-loss treatment, addressing emotional and behavioral factors that often underpin unhealthy eating patterns.

“Our entire clinical team—doctors, nutritionists, psychologists, and internal staff—act as ‘Fat Busters,’ continuously motivating and guiding finalists to stay consistent. Our approach is human-centric, educational, and tailored to each patient’s condition. One of our success stories is Dinda, a participant from LWC 2018 who struggled with PCOS-related obesity and successfully lost 29kg through the program,” said Anna Yesito Wibowo, CMO of LIGHT Group.

The workshop marks the official launch of the 12-week LIGHTweight journey for the 22 finalists. Throughout the program, participants will also take part in additional workshops and activities designed to enhance their understanding of nutrition and healthy living. The competition runs until February 2026. Who among the 22 finalists will claim the title of LWC 2025 Champion? LIGHThouse Clinic will announce the winner on 14 February 2026.
