Jakarta, April 17, 2025 – With a long-standing commitment to weight management, nutrition, and overall health, LIGHT Group—through its flagship brand LIGHThouse Clinic, Indonesia’s pioneer in weight management—is taking another meaningful step forward in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. This time, the group is supporting a nutrition-focused initiative run by the Indonesian Street Children Organization (ISCO), aimed at improving the health and well-being of children from underprivileged communities.

Established in 1999, ISCO Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing vulnerable children from becoming street children or child laborers. It does this by ensuring access to basic rights—particularly education and proper nutrition. Each year, ISCO supports over 2,300 children across Jakarta, Medan, and Surabaya through community-based learning centers situated in densely populated urban areas. These centers offer a safe space for children to learn, grow, and thrive.

Recognizing the alarming state of child nutrition in Indonesia—where nearly 30% of children suffer from stunting, a condition that hinders physical and cognitive development—LIGHT Group emphasizes the urgent need for intervention. Poor nutrition, they note, is often rooted not just in poverty, but also in a lack of parental knowledge about preparing nutritious meals.

“Through this collaboration, LIGHT Group is proud to contribute to ISCO Foundation’s nutrition program, helping fulfill the nutritional needs of children in vulnerable communities. We also plan to provide simple, practical education as part of a long-term effort to raise awareness around healthy eating habits from an early age—without requiring costly solutions,” said Dr. Grace Judio-Kahl, MSc, MH, CHt, founder and CEO of LIGHT Group.

This initiative is not LIGHT Group’s first foray into nutrition-based CSR programs. Back in 2016, the group launched the “A Kilo for A Kilo” campaign, partnering with various local organizations across Indonesia. The program not only distributed nutritious food but also provided vital education for parents and communities. As part of the current effort, experienced nutritionists from LIGHThouse Clinic will be on the ground, offering insights into balanced nutrition and its importance for children’s development.

“We’re grateful for LIGHT Group’s support of ISCO Foundation’s Nutrition Program. Their contribution will make a significant impact on improving the health of the children we serve,” said Julinda Dewi S, Director Executive ISCO Foundation.

As a trailblazer in weight management, LIGHT Group continues to demonstrate its long-term dedication to community empowerment and social support. This latest CSR initiative underscores the group’s broader vision: to create lasting, positive change by expanding access to nutritional education and resources for those who need it most. Through this partnership, LIGHT Group hopes to help shape a healthier future generation.
